The Welcome and Information Fair for Incoming Graduate Students is held in late August (usually the Friday before classes begin) by the Graduate School in conjunction with the Graduate Student Association. Incoming graduate students are welcomed to the university community by the Dean of the Graduate School. A demonstration of MyUB, a web-based, personal portal to online resources for UB graduate students is presented followed by an overview of the history of UB and Western New York.
Representatives from key areas of the university are available during the Information Fair to talk, answer questions and distribute information to incoming graduate students. The Information Fair is a convenient way for incoming graduate students to explore many essential and beneficial university services in an informal setting.
