Graduation Checklist

For candidates completing a special project, portfolio, or a comprehensive examination, the following must be on file in the Graduate School:

  • an approved Application to Candidacy (with all necessary attachments, including original transcripts)
  • an M-Form
  • a brief written summary of project completed (normally no more than 150 words)

In addition, the Graduate School must verify satisfactory completion of all courses to be applied toward the degree.

For candidates completing a thesis: An oral defense of the thesis must be authorized and held. To graduate, the following must be on file in the Graduate School:

  • an approved Application to Candidacy (with all necessary attachments, including original transcripts)
  • an M-Form
  • Electronic submission of the master’s thesis is mandatory.
  • Associated with the electronic submission is a mandatory $60.00 cataloging and processing fee.

In addition, the Graduate School will verify satisfactory completion of all courses to be applied toward the degree.
