Student organizations are a great way for Graduate Students at UB to meet students from other disciplines, to play a role in campus governance, or just to have fun!
Each graduate student pays a fee to support activities of one of the five major graduate student organizations at UB. Check out the following sites for more information:
The Graduate Student Association is the representative body for graduate students at the State University of New York at Buffalo. It is for all doctoral students, plus masters students in Architecture and Planning, Arts and Sciences, Education, Engineering, Health Related Professions, Informatics, Nursing, Social Work.
Each associated department is granted a club budget through the Graduate Student Association (GSA) to form Departmental Clubs. In addition, GSA funds Special Interest Clubs and International Clubs. These clubs allow groups of students who share common interests to carry out organized activities for educational and recreational purposes.
The Student Bar Association is the University at Buffalo Law School's student government. The SBA, through its committees and decision making ability, provides Law students with the opportunity to develop leadership and presentational skills.
Polity is the University at Buffalo School of Medicine's Student Government. Polity aims to to provide for the betterment of student life within the Medical School Community, by catering to the needs of the students whether they be academic, social, or emotional.
University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine students can become involved with a number of clubs and fraternities, including the UB Chapter of the American Student Dental Association, Student Research Group, Alpha Omega and Delta Sigma Delta.
