Students at the University at Buffalo are encouraged to use our career services to assist them with their career planning and job search. We offer a wealth of resources and services through three primary channels:

  • Career Services is UB's comprehensive career center that provides assistance to students in all graduate programs. These services include one-on-one advisement, cover letter and resume writing, job fairs and job postings, interview training, and a vast array of other activities.
  • Students enrolled in UB's full-time MBA program can also take advantage of the School of Management's nationally recognized Career Resource Center.
  • The School of Law Career Services Office serves as a career development and advancement resource for Law students and alumni.

Graduate students, particularly those interested in academic careers, should also be certain to seek guidance from faculty advisors and other faculty members with whom they develop close working relationships. Many job opportunities become available through faculty networking at discipline-specific meetings and through other informal connections.
