Undergraduate Student Resources

The AGEP Program works collaboratively with undergraduate units. Our efforts are designed to increase opportunities for underrepresented undergraduates to be exposed to graduate work, research and graduate school. Students can obtain funded research opportunities with the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) and Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) programs.

For students interested in pursuing doctoral work, the McNair Program at UB gives undergradutes support to successfully in gaining admission and complete a graduate degree.

Workshops are available to undergraduates interested in research through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (CURCA).

Summer Research Opportunities

The LSAMP and CSTEP Programs have a Summer Research Program.

UB also hosts summer research opportunities for undergraduates at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Summer research opportunities are a valuable tool in gaining skills necessary to be successful in graduate school.
