Graduate Student Resources
UB's AGEP Program provides a variety of supportive programming for its students, including Research Lunches, Professional Development Workshops and Community Building events.
Fellowships
Fellowships are competitive awards made to individuals at various stages of their academic career, including predoctoral graduate students. Many fellowships provide students with a stipend, tuition, health insurance and travel awards. Specific fellowships are available to minority graduate students in STEM fields. Find out more about fellowships.
Career Resources and Job Opportunities
UB's Office of Career Services provides students tools and workshops to prepare curriculum vitae, technical cover letters and interview for faculty positions. National resources such as the Chronicle of Higher Education, AAAS and SACNAS have current postings of fellowships, postdocs and faculty positions.
Postdoctoral Resources and Opportunities
A postdoctoral experience is intended to be a short term training opportunity that allows you to gain specialized or advanced knowledge necessary to pursue a career as a faculty member. The National Postdoctoral Association and UB's Office of Postdoctoral Scholars provides useful information about postdocs and how to find them.
Forms
