Living at UB is like being in a small city. Our community is made up of a diverse group of people from upstate and downstate, neighboring states, neighboring countries, far-away states and far-away countries. All of them have unique stories and lives that contribute a real melting-pot of experiences to our life here.

Just like in other communities, there's a lot to do at UB (in addition to going to class!). We've got movie houses and theater spaces, restaurants and coffee shops, art galleries, more than 200 special-interest student organizations, two annual music festivals, large expanses of grass for sunning and playing, an arena for sports and recreation, and paths for in-line skating, running and cycling. There are two newspapers, an award-winning FM radio station, our own police force, and a Student Union and Commons area that serves as our "downtown."

UB has many residential choices, including on-campus apartments and residence hall living, plus support services for your mental and physical health.
