Fellowships and scholarships are designed to attract and support graduate students who have exceptional academic records and potential. Such support is intended to enable the student to better concentrate on coursework and/or research. Each year, the Graduate School makes funding available to the deans to support outstanding graduate students; the deans have developed fellowship deployment strategies tailored to the specific discipline and academic needs of the student. Students should contact their academic department concerning nomination deadlines and criteria for these prestigious awards.
